I need to discuss my new obsession with jade green dendrobium orchids

Now that we're pretty much settled on wanting to have our wedding near the ocean, Joe and I think we should pick a more vibrant color scheme. Something bright and fun and springy.

Jade green dendrobium orchids are a new obsession of mine. I've seen them in various wedding schemes during my research, and I just think they're beautiful. The purple color in the middle is almost exactly what my bridesmaids will be wearing, and they would look super sharp on the lapels of Joe and his best men, as well as in the hands of my bridesmaids.

Here is what I'm thinking for the bouquets on the tables at the reception

Mix some of those dark, muted pink tulips on the right in with the purple and green arrangement on the left and it's basically exactly what I want. The vase is a style I like a lot, too.

I've pretty much accepted at this point that deciding a color scheme right now is basically impossible. I have too many ideas floating around and I like too many color schemes to know for sure. We're probably going to decide a few months before the wedding what we're going to order. All the posts in this blog are just things I want to remember when the time comes :)
