tent update!

According to a woman I spoke to at wallace tents in Ellsworth, I can get the following things for my ceremony and reception for around 3,100 dollars. (Also, the 3,100 includes 8% for insurance, $110 dollars for transportation of everything to and from Ellsworth, and the set-up and break-down of all the components.)

- A tent big enough for 150 people to eat and dance
- 19 square tables that each sit 8 people
- Linens for all the tables
- 150 chairs
- 5 strings of small white lights
- 12 large white globe lights

I could also order a dance floor from that place as well, but it would be an additional 700 dollars. Mom thinks we could find a floor cheaper than that. I think we can just dance on the grass :)

Also, I can cut some costs with the tables too. I really wanted square tables because I like them better than round ones, but if it'll save a few hundred bucks, I can be flexible.

Another bonus is that we'll actually have enough left over to be able to do dinner instead of just hors d'oeuvres for the reception, which is what I was hoping. We still need to budget for flowers and a photographer and someone to perform the ceremony and all that too, but there's still lots of time to figure that out.

I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT THIS, AND FIGURED I'D POST IT HERE, EVEN THOUGH I'LL PROBABLY ALSO IM IT TO YOU LATER.

everyone always says "don't photograph your friends weddings, because you don't get to have as much fun at them", and while i agree, i also wouldn't be opposed to the idea because i love wedding photography and will probably be taking a buttload of pictures ANYways. same for claires.

if not, i reccomend adrianne, she has done a brilliant job and has more experience than i do (:
