There are a couple of choices about where the ceremony should be. One choice is directly in front of the rock garden.
We would put a bunch of pretty lights up in the trees, and lanterns in the rock garden. The reception tent would be further from the garden; approximately where I was standing when I took the photo above.
Although I love Memae's rock garden, I think it would be nicer for the ceremony itself to be more intimate. So I present to you these two trees:
The trees would be strung up with lots of white lights and little hanging lanterns. There is plenty of room for chairs to be set up while still keeping it intimate.
Another reason I would rather have the ceremony in front of the trees is that it's a lot closer to Memae's house than the rock garden. I don't want Joe to see me coming from a mile away. Also, I like the idea of getting married under something pretty instead of in front of something pretty, you know?

One more glamour shot of the trees.
