Veil, y/n?

I don't know what to do about the veil situation. I've thought about it, and part of me is like "veil? screw THAT noise." and the other part of me is like "ooo... lace is so pretty..."

But the thing is, I'm not a god damn princess. It seems silly to put ruffles on my head. When I picture the whole look without even a simple veil, though, it doesn't seem weddingy enough.

Decidedly, if I do go with the wedding princess option, I would not want the veil to be in my face when I do the walk because that's too old fashioned and silly for me. I definitely want my dad to walk me down the isle, but the idea of him lifting lace out of my face when I get up seems weird. I don't need him to remove a fancy protective coating from my head for me to get married. I'm just not that fragile, if you can believe it.

I know I want my hair down and loosely curled, so the veil would have to kind of sit on top of my head and fall to the back, leaving some of my hair free to frame my face without being covered by lace. I also wouldn't want the veil to cover my arms, or even to be in front of me at all, because that still gives the weird virginal covered-by-a-veil look that I'm wholeheartedly against. I think the proper length of the veil would be just longer than my hair. None of that 8 foot long train nonsense. I also want 0% train for my dress.

Veils are weird. If I have to have one, I'd like it to sit similarly to the sepia toned photograph, but have a more subtle design that will match my dress, like the photo with the purple background.

you could always wear a fancy hat. like a fedora. with a feather in it. that is bright orange to match the bridesmaids flowers. oh wait, maybe i'm crossing over into sadie dream territory too closely.

well, at least consider the fedora part.

I want Sarah to get married. That wedding would be off the CHAIN.
