Yet another idea on my long list of ideas involves us getting married in spring 2010 instead of fall 2009. I'll have finished at year at Maine College of Art, and Joe and I will be settled in Portland with some money saved up, hopefully, so it would be a lot less stressful. Also, the hotels I like will still be in the low season and it will still be warm outside instead of hot or cold. This, of course, is a great excuse to not use orange anymore. Everyone seems to like orange now that I'm totally over it, so DUBS.
On the left, right, and bottom you will see some flowers I like a lot for a springy bouquet. Included in the pictures are chrysanthemums, hydrangeas, zinnias, blue star creepers, hyacinths, matsumotos, scillias, paperwhites, stephanotis, scabiosas, and irises. The top photo on the left side is similar to how I image the flowers will be arranged: a tight, small bunch with little bits of each flower mixed together.
The color scheme was inspired by keeping the core color I love and will never change (purple), with the color of the room at the Inn at Oceans Edge I'd like the ceremony or reception to be in (baby blue), a color I saw in a wedding magazine that I fell in love with (light/limey green), and my new found interest in having a white wedding dress instead of a champagne one.
