Bridesmaids, ahoy!

The subject was going to be "bridesmaids, ho!" but I thought that might be too suggestive ;-)

Here is the basic idea of what my bridesmaids dresses will probably look like. I edited them in photoshop to get the deep eggplant color that I wanted.

I love the waist line and the skirt of the dress on the left very much. It's got a very simple cocktail dress feel to it, but the asymmetrical layer thing gives it a bit of a twist. I also really like the iridescent aspect of the fabric.

The only thing I don't like about that dress is the neckline. I would rather have a neckline like the one on the right. It still has the v-neck that I like, but it isn't as deep (seriously, we don't need that much cleave) and I also like that it has regular straps instead of a halter. Tres cute.

Although I am attempting to have a very small wedding, it looks as though I'm going to have 6 bridesmaids. My maid of honor is my best friend, Claire. My little sister Julie will be one of the bridesmaids, as well as my other close friends Becky, Laura, Pattie, and Sadie.
